The changing of seasons, even when you know it's a week-long false alarm, always feels like you're standing at the edge of something majestic. Darn Michigan weather, so confusing.
I crashed XC practice today. Not that exciting. I was hoping a few more people my age would be there, but it was just James and I. Ashley is running, which I think will be better for her than swimming. We didn't really talk, though.
I was really excited to move back to EL, really ready, prepared to take on everything that's waiting... and then today I just got overwhelmed. There's all these little details to be taken care of, which wouldn't be a problem if I knew how to take care of them... but I don't. I don't know how to go about dealing with any of the stupid little things. Like, I need a background check for the place I'm applying to work. I'm supposed to go to a certain place and blah blah blah, it's just more stress and errands.
But anyway, I'm closer to being physically--if not emotionally--ready to move. Clothes are finally somewhat packed, and my dad took tomorrow off from work to help me build the loft. I pretty much have the best parents ever. :)
Tomorrow's the last day of beach volleyball... and hopefully the first day of rope swinging... Not if the weather continues, though. Argh. Can't we find a happy medium between too humid and unseasonably cold?
