hold up - WHAT? you're "in a relationship"? things still catch me by surprise now, and that shouldn't be one of them, because i'm so used to people saying either "i'm engaged!" or "i'm pregnant!"

here's the deal, yo... after talking for a couple of hours while on our date, kevin and i decided to give dating a go. lots of people have asked me if that means we are dating, or if we are boyfriend and girlfriend. i understand the distinction they're trying to make, but to me, it doesn't really matter what you want to call it. we've been good friends for some time, and now we're getting to see where things go in a different context, if that makes sense. "relationship" or "boyfriend" both sound super serious, but it's been 3 days, it's not terribly serious--but it's something we both take seriously, i think. sooooo i hope that makes sense. i'm extremely tired and don't know how to continue explaining.
i would love to be your date saturday. 3pm. black dresses. what's yours like? ummmm i still have to talk to the parents and stuff, but i'm working on making it happen.
Jessica! Hi! I'm really excited right now... I mean, that I'm now coming to the wedding and will actually get to see you are both part of the reason, but it's just really good to 'hear' from you. Really, really good. I'm looking forward to this weekend a lot.

i'm leavin here 3pm friday, doing dinner at my house, then maybe hanging out at nicole m's house friday night. ummmmm i still haven't gotten ahold of my parents, but. i will. dang it.
