I read what you wrote whenever you posted it and today I experienced the same thing. My little boy that I tutor (I'm teaching him English, he's from South Korea) read three chapters from a book to me today and I asked him to tell me what it was about and he did so in great detail. When I first started tutoring him, he didn't know the difference between the words "pancake" and "grin." He has come so far and it makes me so happy. Yay for the joys of teaching!! Love you babe.
